My Bio
A bit of a late bloomer, but at the age of 21 I've decided that I will pass any doubt and judgement that I once had and go full strength for a career in art. I have a long ways to go, but you gotta start somewhere right? Thanks for those who support me, I practice every single day, starting small and always looking for inspiration. I'm currently undertaking a short course at a School of ARTS. Looking to go full time once I settle into a semi-permanent location.

I got discouraged. The last time I drew was three months ago. I remember going to a life drawing class (results of which I will post soon) and by the end of it thinking of how little I know, listening to the fellow artists there telling me that it's taken them 10+ years to get to the stage that they are at. I came to the realization recently that I was giving up something that I desperately wanted to do, I pretty much took up the choice that I would just work really hard at my job and save for the future. Looking at a few original inspirations got me back into it, that and the fact that I want to do art as my only career, even if that takes m

I must admit, for about a week I was feeling pretty discouraged and didn't pick up a pencil once, I think I was drawing way too much without fixing my own mistakes that were making me frustrated in the first place, I was drawing for the sake of it, forcing myself. I suppose this is a normal thing. Anywho, I've been studying a little bit more about the human body and I feel that it is showing in my latest works. I can actually draw from imagination and it resembles an actual human even more! Feeling better about all of this.

My first profile comment! Thanks for the words of encouragement :)
Yea I was here last year too so dont worry. I know its hard and frustrating but within a year you will see improvements.
It's really cool hearing stuff like that, that you're not alone with the whole cruddy starting out phase. I've actually kinda gotten over getting frustrated easily lately now that I'm understanding certain things more and more. Anyways, again, thanks for following me and your landscapes look amazing :) (Smile) Art Camp sounds amazing!
